| Concept Engineering Group, Inc. (CEG) offers Mechanical Engineering expertise for the research and development of new products, engineering consulting, and as an expert witness.
CEG has developed safe excavation technology and equipment that uses a combination of supersonic jets of air and high flow, pneumatic vacuum transport to safely dislodge and remove soil. This technology is particularly suited for excavation of any type of buried object that requires great care such as underground utilities, hazardous waste, or even land mines and unexploded ordinance.
Concept Engineering Group has built specialized air-vacuum excavation systems for the Electric Power Research Institute, Gas Technology Institute, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Army.
CEG developed the AIR-SPADE® supersonic air excavation tool recently acquired and marketed by Guardair Corp., Chicopee, MA.
CEG currently sells: SAFEX ®, complete air-vacuum excavation systems, AIR-VAC ®, air powered truck/trailer vacuum systems, and AIR-SPADE ® Cart compressor units.
CEG has developed advanced Magnetofluidynamic devices including MAG-GATE™, a system for molten metal flow control for the American Iron and Steel Institute and the U.S. Department of Energy. CEG personnel also have designed electromagnetic stirrers for continuous casters and flow couplers for liquid metal fast breeder reactors.
CEG personnel has experience in the analysis and design of large electrical machinery including gas turbine, hydro, and steam turbine generators, large induction motors, and super conducting electrical generators.
